My clients describe me as:
Calm and steady, gentle but direct, authentic and caring. A strong ally to the LGBT+ community and accepting of people for who they are.
Something to know about my approach is:
My approach to working with you will be unique to your needs and goals and to who you are as a person. My focus is on cultivating mental health, not treating mental illness.
Together, we will:
Focus on YOUR goals. Sometimes that means less of something (anxiety, sadness, anger, confusion, frustration, toxic relationships), and sometimes more (clarity, self-acceptance, confidence, boundaries, support, strength, communication).
I specialize in working with people who:
Adults (18+) who may not even know why they feel bad, who feel confused about how to get better, who didn't find their previous therapist(s) to be helpful, who may have never even been in therapy before, and who want to get more out of life.
I became a therapist because:
Everyone suffers. I want to teach people how to reduce their suffering, even when they can't change their circumstances.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
My office is in a quiet part of town, not a busy street, in a healing space shared with therapists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists.
More about me and my practice:
All voicemails and emails will be returned directly by me; you will never be asked to interact with anyone besides me. If you have out-of-network insurance benefits, I will handle all of your claims submissions so you don't have to.
